Meanwhile, keep watching for shortage reports, because we should start seeing some sneak in this week, if our doom-o-meter is calibrated correctly.

This documentary was shown a few years ago on Channel 4 in the UK, it was about how the islanders of Bouganville were able to use local coconut palms to provide them all they needed (just about) - it showed them making motor oil and bio-diesels for their diesel engine vehicles, all totally grassroots.

Example of availible bio-fuels -

"What is e-diesel?
e-diesel is a clean-burning alternative to diesel fuel. It is refined from vegetable oils instead of Crude Petroleum and is commonly known as Bio-diesel.

e-diesel is a truly renewable fuel, which produces no net CO2 emissions. It has much better lubricity and a higher Cetane Number than diesel fuel, and can be used in all diesel engines without any modification.

Customer feedback reports that even adding small amounts of e-diesel to conventional diesel improves fuel lubricity thereby extending engine life, and increasing fuel efficiency.

e-diesel can be blended with conventional diesel in any concentration. The blend level depends on economics and availability.

Typically, e-diesel is supplied at 100%, 20% or 5% concentrations blended with Ultra Low Sulphur Diesel.

e-diesel is completely bio-degradable and far less toxic than petroleum diesel.

Ebony Solutions have been manufacturing and supplying e-diesel in the UK for 7 years, to a range of local authority, commercial and bluechip customers."
