Reading stuff like this brings one word to mind: Brownshirts.
When we are mired in prolonged economic depression with no end in site because, gee, the oil isn't coming back, I foresee a lot of these types of guys being recruited into "security services", "civil patrol" units, and other officially sanctioned groups to keep the rest of us in line. "Jack-booted Thugs" also comes to mind.
These poor oafs will be having serious mental challenges post-Peak and will likely take their frustration out on the rest of us...if we let them.

so where do you post on Labusas? I visited to check out the bile-bike boys and came across the 'Leper Colony.' Seems similar to this 'Open Discussion' or ''Hall of Flames' section. Where do you post?

Yeah Labusa's - You can post about anything you wish. Just post anything on "bike talk". Freedom of speech is the buzz word. No child or homo porn, that's it! Threads are never deleted, no matter how ugly they get. But, behind the "freedom" many have the "brownshirt" mentality. PO topics few can stomach at Labusas. These people are shitting in their pants and are the types to turn violent when TSHTF. |

A lot of "libertarians" who are so precious about their rights and freedoms, are the first ones to abrogate your's.
Want to drive them really crazy? When they start talking about their wild weekends ask them if they succeeded in the ruthless arithmetic of genetic survival. Yeah, it's a sport over there for me. But, somtimes I push em over the edge. If they knew who I was, I'd have a pack of Angels visting me. Some are in the know, but will only PM me with conversation out of fear.
I've been working on this group for a couple of years now - I figured I'd turn the masses around by now. But, It will never sink in for these block heads. |

In taking to the lifestyle these guys live, they make a statement...essentially it's we don't care as long as number one is taken care of. These blokes are the ultimate in self oriented hedonism and trying to change them to a community oriented perspective beyond the boundries of their little support structure will be well nigh a pointless effort. You'ld be better employed using your evident commitment to infiltrate the wider mainstream where you can really have an impact. Assuming we can organise to deal with peak oil, degenerates such as this lot will be easily dealt with.

I have a bit of success informing people on other forums about Peak Oil and the other Converging Catastrophes.
Sure most think I'm a complete loony but others have had a hard look at their lives and have decided to change.
