Public transports virtually non-existent, we are on a par with the US in terms of fuel usage, and the retail sector's dominated by a few big names....not very good really. _________________ Bugger me, I hear oil's runnin out mate! |

Hi chaps. May I take this opportunity to mention the rugby?

I moved from Sweden to Australia.
Living in Melbourne right now but got a house waiting for me up on the sunshine coast. Can't wait to get there, PO or no PO.
There is an Australian PO forum as well which has lots of media etc. THink it is called sydneypeakoil or something. _________________ Lets take a ride, and run with the dogs tonight

+1 on this forum.
Nice seeing AD and Elvtre and Micki once in a while I still miss other kiwi folks that used to stick around a lot more in the past. (rogerhb, skiwi, microhydro, etc)
I've moved here since 2 years ago, and from an outsider's (who's aggressively growing roots here) point of view, I can tell you that the political climate here is down the gurgler. Financially their trade deficit has widened quite a bit for the past 2 years (well, it's been a trailing deficit since 1970), token amounts of effort for mass transportation for post-peak (absolutely nothing!), hardly any amount of effort for alternate energy (sure, they have hydro, geo, wind).
Don't start me up on firearms either. Think Australia/England
But anyway, back to this thread.
+1 for a OZ/NZ please. We're screwed in some ways more than those outside OZ/NZ would realise.
(p.s. I'm a doomer so you find me very stingy on bullish outlook in where I am) _________________ regards,

| I'm half aussie (dad's side of the family). I still take an active interest in all that goes on back in Aus, so an Australia/NZ forum would be a great idea IMO. |
