| In a news release this past week the Saudi oil minister put alot of the blame on hedge funds, traders & speculators for the run up of the oil prices. He said that the market is well supplied and oil should be around 60.00 a barrel. Is there any way to put some controls on these speculators and others who basically play the market & artificially run up the price of oil. Seems like to valuable a commodity to play around with. billyk |

Don't look at me, I don't trade oil.
BTW, oil would actually be more expensive much of the time and price would swing wildly without a futures market. The futures market helps industries hedge against these fluccuations.

Hey BillyK,
You probably also thought there were WMDs in Iraq also. Don't believe everything you read (especially when it comes to oil). _________________ Simon's Law: Everything put together falls apart sooner or later.
