Stocks go down gold goes down and vice versa

Why is that when stocks go down the price of gold goes down and when stocks go up the price of gold goes up lately?

It is going down because in a market like this there are people who are being forced to sell positions both good and bad.

When stocks go up people by more gold as a hedge against inflation, oil is doing the same thing largely.

We have yet to see the real bad times in the stock market, when that happens look for oil and food stocks lose 20%, everything other than that will be a horror show.
