Hoarding is exactly what the government is doing right now by filling the SPR, and frankly it's the best thing that could happen. It drives prices up. High prices encourage demand destruction. They also finance new well development. The hoarded oil gives us a buffer to fall back on once shortages become more prevalent. High prices are what we need in order to adapt to what's coming, and the sooner they happen, the better.

Good day from Pheba, from the farm:
I am very interested in this film. I tried viewing it via the broadband
broadcast on ABC (Australian Broadcast Co.) web site.
Unfortunately it does not play for me.
Have others had the same problem trying to view this film?
Reviews on it sound great. Also, I can find no information on the
internet concerning conversion to R1 format.
Right now it is only available on R4 DVD.
Pheba.

Good day from Pheba, from the farm:
I just went to the History Channel. I would love to order the film, but am uncertain if it is the same film. The original Crude: Incredible Journey is 88 minutes long.
The film listed on the History Channel is 50 minutes long.
Is it the same film?
Did they omit a part of the film to fit it into a 50 minute time slot?
Please advise if it is the same film.
Thanks,
Pheba.

I will have to watch the DVD and compare. I've had difficulty getting all parts of the online version to play on my computer. It would suck if they chopped out the best doomer parts, although the piece is a little long-winded and could have been shortened without removing the key content.

Good day from Pheba, from the farm:
Thanks, I will wait until I hear from you before I spend the money.
I can't get the online version to play at all. The broadband feed just stalls completely.
It angers me that there is even such a thing as "regions" for DVDs.
Regions were invented so the powers that be can control production and distribution.
I am seriously thinking of buying a region free DVD player.
I can get a nice Toshiba for about 80.00.
Pheba.
