Worked out quite well, actually VERY well.
Worked out being the operative words.

Just add radium, tritium or other appropriate radioactive isotope to get a radioluminescent light source. Or just recharge it with sunlight, your kerosine lamp or other light source. It glows for hours.

I have a coal fueled heating system; I was about to rip it out and replace with gas but I'm having second thoughts. The back of my garage could hold 4 or 5 years supply of coal. Tempting. |
