If "it's bunker time" why the fark do you care about the price of gold? You evolved some enzyme that lets you digest the stuff?

Quote:
The Victorian State government has committed to introduce a 'feed in tariff' for renewable energy in Victoria. An example of how feed in tariffs work is if you have solar panels on your roof connected to the electricity grid you get paid a premium for the electricity you produce which recognises solar energy's many benefits.

Quote:
The tariff should be:
- mandated at 60 cents per kWh;
- offered for at least 15 years; and
- paid on the entire output of a system via gross production metering

.

That is ridiculous Rolling Eyes

the KW /h is worth 20 cents US pretty much world wide .
this is asking the carbon energy to subsidize urban myths
either an energy is usable or it is not ,
wind has been in use since 4000 years , holland was drained with wind power ( all those windmills are in fact wind-pumps )
if it doesn't make economic sense now , throwing tax money at it is going to bury it .
NZ has good potential for Hydro and wind but it has to promoted on its merit not as some sop to noisy pressure groups or because some political spin meister doesn't have a clue about feeding a grid !
