I will believe the Saudis don't see any upcoming problems with Ghawar when they cancel one of their projects due to low oil prices. If they continue to be full steam ahead with increasing their capacity then I think they are aware that Ghawar may not be as robust in 5 years time as they would like us to believe.

I think I speak for many newbies when I say it would be great if there were a glossary (maybe there already is one?) of all the Abbrviations and acronyms that get bandied about on PO. I have been able to decipher or track down most, but a simple reference list would help a ton.

Can someone point me in the right direction?

The urbandictionary.com has most every abbreviation, acronym and bit of slang used today.

Great idea. When I first arrived on this board, it was difficult to follow many of the discussions because of my ignorance about the abbreviations.

EROEI: energy return on energy invested. A measure of how much energy is required in order to produce an energy source. The bigger the number, the better. Small EROEI numbers, perhaps below 2, may be a waste of time. Numbers less than 1 certainly are. They mean that you have to put more energy in than you get out, which is a loss or a sink.
