I will believe the Saudis don't see any upcoming problems with Ghawar when they cancel one of their projects due to low oil prices. If they continue to be full steam ahead with increasing their capacity then I think they are aware that Ghawar may not be as robust in 5 years time as they would like us to believe.

FTA:

Why the vulnerability? After all, this is the 21st century, not a more primitive past when little in life was assured. Surely people know how to fix problems now.

Maybe. And maybe this is what the 21st century will be about — a great unraveling of some things long taken for granted.

And this is just the tip of the iceberg.

Just wait until the magician runs out of tricks.

The easy days are over. We are all a bunch of lazy softies who are used to borrowing on future generations. Everyone is looking at everyone else to solve the problems. We need leadership, something we haven't had for 8 years. Maybe we will get some in the future, maybe not.

Panic is for those not prepared. We develop self confidence by mastering the skills needed to overcome any situation that arises to threaten our life

Floods and the like?

Sometimes we forget that nature does not bow to us...we bow to nature.

War?

We are in a new era of human life.

We will be at war over crude until the last buckets have been sucked from the earth...so get used to it.

As we would leave the Middle East...China or Russia would step in.

Living like a god is probably a very insecure life.

You're always asking yourself: "Am I REALLY a god, or do I just THINK I'm a god?"

You sit around making yourself mentally ill musing over such things while the ancient decomposed plant matter bathes you in luxury.

A ride like that is going to be hard for people to get off of.
