| I am a chef for an upscale dining establishment that caters to the wealthy and near wealthy from Chicago. We are about an hour east from the Windy City. |

An hour east of where I lived on the North Side of Chicago was Gary, IN! I can't say as I recall any Michelin rated restaurants there, but I was just passing through on 94. You're probably not in Gary though...
Welcome! Look around. Kick the tires. Figure out what you agree with and what you don't. There are lots of helpful people here. There are also some unhelpful ones - just like any other community. Have fun. _________________ TANSTAAFL |

Welcome, Rich.
Please spend some time browsing through the forums and get your feet wet, so to speak. There are lots of knowledgable folks here who will be happy to answer any questions you might have (and some you might not have! )
And be sure to chime in and post yourself. We all learn from each other.
Welcome again,
Kathy |

Greetings, Chef_Rich
Welcome.
This ability to understand food preparation, temperature control, nutrition, and make things taste good are all extremely useful.
The high end chefs are also used to making one-of-a-kind items, rather than mass production.
I have a lot of respect for people with this skill. |
