If "it's bunker time" why the fark do you care about the price of gold? You evolved some enzyme that lets you digest the stuff?

The threads that are clearly thought provoking and interesting could be put on one forum. They would be in both locations at once and anything added to one would be added to the other.

As an example, “Our Money System and Peak Oil; Are They Compatible?” is clearly a great topic. There have been hundreds of replies to this thread and there are still people adding things to it. This topic would be copied and moved to “Best Thread”

There are many advantages to having a “Best Thread” list. There would be fewer repetitive posts. Important topics could be discussed without having random clutter pushing it off the first page every week. New comers could look there first to get a better understanding of PO.

Even more advantages, the best posters would have a venue to show off their greatness in the most vain way possible on a website like this.

Any thoughts?
…Do you understand what I’m trying to say?

Interestingly I didn't notice that untill you told me Embarassed . But after reviewing it, I found it lacking.

Several of the posts there are outdated or not very good. And many of the best threads are still not on that list, like the one I mentioned earlier about Debt-Based money.

Aaron and I have discussed this, and we have decided to change the Best of Breed forum to a list of "best threads", plus their hyperlink to the active thread in the forums. When I have this finished, I will post an announcement.

The new Best of Breed forum is updated. There is a new thread in the peak oil forum for submitting nominees to be included. Here's the link:
