Yadda, yadda, yadda:
Naimi Says Politics, Not Geology, Limit Future Oil
| Quote: | The world has as much as 5 trillion to 7 trillion barrels of oil yet to be developed, located in "challenging'' areas or acreage closed to exploration, Saudi Arabian Oil Minister Ali al-Naimi said.
"The limits to future supplies have more to do with politics than with geology and resource availability,'' al-Naimi said in Madrid, speaking at the World Petroleum Congress, where he is receiving an industry award. Concern over supply can be overcome by allowing "explorers to explore and find hydrocarbons where they aren't allowed,'' he said. |

159 years left of the stuff (@ current consumption levels), worst case scenario ? That puts peak out by 2080.
Time to close down the site, boyz - we're clearly wasting our time here. _________________ "It's called the American Dream because you'd have to be asleep to believe it."

Even if the peak were decades off, I like the changes I'm making to my lifestyle. |

So pretty much we will have enough oil if we destroy the last areas of intact environment left?
Hmm.. which do you prefer? A gallon of gas or a bit of clean air? |

Yeah, our lifestyle isn't sustainable so its best to make changes.
Even though I think PO is very close even if were decades away we need to make changes now. |

I think this is an amazing statement if you take it at face value. He's saying the oil is elsewhere and NOT in KSA.
Think about that for a bit. _________________ Dismantle globally, renew locally! |

That about nails it. Think about what he is really saying. KSA is tapped out so you guys better look someplace else for your oil. |
