I will believe the Saudis don't see any upcoming problems with Ghawar when they cancel one of their projects due to low oil prices. If they continue to be full steam ahead with increasing their capacity then I think they are aware that Ghawar may not be as robust in 5 years time as they would like us to believe.

Intolerance is something to be proud of?
Really Carl... I'm disappointed...
Granted the guy's out there, but it's text on a screen. Not that difficult to ignore if one so chooses. The forum even provides a button to aid one in doing so... ========^^^^ _________________ "It means buckle your seatbelt, Dorothy, because Kansas? Is goin' bye-bye... "

Sorry to veil your anticipated twinkle, Carl, but no single poster or group is responsible for Golem's exit.
Each and every member of PeakOil.com is held responsible for their behavior, and theirs alone.
If one cannot follow the very simple and limited number of rules, and/or they disrupt the flow of thought and function of this community, out they go.

Are you saying he was banned? Sounds like a business corporation (staff)?
The PO thugs beat up on Golem, so he is banned? WTF. Help me with this. _________________ Believe those who are seeking the truth. Doubt those who find it.

Actually, it was extremely difficult to ignore, and many, many people complained about it. Intolerance sucks, you're right. Deliberately disrupting a community is pretty nasty, too.
Edit: Actually, I take back what I said about intolerance. There are plenty of things we should not tolerate, including repeated, deliberate disruption of this community. If people would stop tolerating that which is intolerable, perhaps we would not have these slimebags in power today, for example. _________________ "Every junkie's like a setting sun..." - Neil Young

Can I have a meritorious twinkle anyway?
I had in mind a little diamond-like shimmering star right in the dark place on my flair. _________________ "May you live in interesting times"

You know, I do agree with this in principal Shanny, and yet, I can't help feeling that there's some much more subtle aspects to the issue that we're missing (and I don't mean with respect specifically to golem; he was clearly becoming disruptive to a significant portion of the membership, and as such his apparent disregard for repeated requests to refrain from such disruptions precipitated an appropriate response).
Just as an example of one little piece of my thoughts on this, isn't the behavior of those in power in at least some sense a manifestation of intolerance? Intolerance of diversity, intolerance of people being able to live as they see fit, without compulsive participation in 'their' version of what constitutes 'right' living?
Sorry that I'm not able to better articulate this right now, but I do feel there's much more here than at first meets the eye... _________________ "It means buckle your seatbelt, Dorothy, because Kansas? Is goin' bye-bye... "
