I will believe the Saudis don't see any upcoming problems with Ghawar when they cancel one of their projects due to low oil prices. If they continue to be full steam ahead with increasing their capacity then I think they are aware that Ghawar may not be as robust in 5 years time as they would like us to believe.

Just what is the deal with this forum getting a name change every day of late? It was "Depletion Economics" for years.

As this forum grows and matures gaining thousands of new members with increasingly broader interests, the site features that may have worked well in the past may need occasional minor adjustments and modifications.

I hope this minor batch of adjustments meets with everyone's approval. Smile

Makes my job easier!

"Depletion Economics" was a far too nebulous description.

"Economics and Finance"? That I can work with.

I prefered Resource Depletion Economics to keep the forum focussed, but posters want to post about the issues that affect them directly, so there were a lot of off-topic posts. Now Economics and Finance is sufficiently broad enough to capture their interests without being off-topic. More chaff, less wheat, but it is more inclusive.

Economics and Finance is all about depletion. Turning real world resources and wealth into waste. Aka as "progress" (TM)
