Ok- I know its still 2 days away but I am getting seriously excited.
Biden- gaffey but lovable in a down to earth- shoots off at the mouth kind of way. Mucho experience. Mucho chatty.
Palin- Homespun charm masking an incredible lack of basic knowledge of national and international politics. Without teleprompter is prone to repeating talking points or rambling off into unintelligible blather.
OK- this is your thread for the debate. Personally I can't get enough of Palin. She pretty much sums up our times. Ignorant, bright, charming, empty and beautiful.
Letthe games begin!!! |

She is a good debater... Nice smile filled with vitriol.
Did you see the snips from the Alaska Governors' debate?
McCain doesn't scare me but she does.

Biden will be a gentleman. To appear to trounce her would not help him politically. _________________ "May you live in interesting times" |

Just read a good piece about how we hate experts and think they are elitist when it comes to politicians, but expect experts in all other endeavors, whether it be medicine, science, law or sports.
Many of us have this fixed populist streak that thinks that the guy next door should be able to run the country, a marked disdain for those lofty elitists who run the country.
And we get...the quintessential working mom from a rural state who can talk in a homey "woman of the people" sort of way. Forget what she is saying or how she responds to questions. Just watch her tone of voice, how she appears, read about the narrative of her life, the rifles, the moose, the five kids and still sexy...
Americans don't seem to want experts, they want a good story... |

I might actually make a point of finding a friend with a television just to see Palin. It's sort of like driving across town to stare at the horrible car crash. The trouble for Biden is that he could easily come off as the bully picking on the short bus kid. _________________ "So while you sit and whistle Dixie with your money and your power.

Very true, unfortunately. It's probably our greatest weakness as a people, and we seem to be getting progressively worse about it. We're becoming dumber, and so are our "leaders".
Dubya and Sarah would've made great pair, huh? What a team... _________________ "Thank you for attending the oil age. We're going to scrape what we can out of these tar pits in Alberta and then shut down the machines and turn out the lights. Goodnight." - seldom_seen |

My comment on the two candidates:
Would your rather vote for someone who protects babies and kills animals or someone who kills babies and protects animals?
Sums it all up for me. |

I thought that once too, SPG. I thought originally John had thrown the Hail Mary and had a chance to make the TD.
I kind of think different now except for my worry Joe might be thinking the same as you and wind up with lipstick around his missing nose.
But I then I worry too much about the Dems proven ability to mess up their own wet-dream ... _________________ Make a plan and work it: |
