Exxonmobil really has a great website. this is a great quote:-
1.5 billion people in the developing world still lack access to modern forms of energy to light and heat homes, or even cook food. And because energy use and economic growth are so closely linked, society cannot advance without adequate supplies of affordable energy.
wonderful stuff! i think they are about the only big oil company ive seen that readily admits we have problems, and theyre not really sure if we'll solve them! |

The above is what I would call "a warm fluffy". It's boilderplate stuff that might make us feel good, but is empty of any content.
It's much like saying it is usually preferable to marry someone you like, rather than marrying someone you hate.
Few people can take exception to the statement's truth, but it hasn't moved the ball a bit. It is a statement that has wasted the writer's time(and the reader's as well) if it was meant to convey information or provide insight. |
