Hi Guys and Gals
What's going on?
There are curently three threads about the Morgan Stanley Oil Crash - 2 at Current events and 1 at peak oil discussion.
I realised, afterwards, that when I posted one that there was already another and expected mine to disappear. But it didna

Monte was doing a great job keeping tabs on this sort of thing but discipline seems to have waned.
why?

PO.com os the world's leader on the subject and the forums are very, very busy I know - the busiest PO forums in the world so it needs the best PO forum moderators in the world!!

It was wrong to fire Montequest.
Bring him back.
Anyone else agree?

well, you succeeded in waking me up when you said Monte had been fired.
and thanks Aaron for putting that straight.

i'm a mod and have also been too busy over the last six weeks to contribute much. but i hope to be back properly in a few weeks time.

as for your apparent dissatisfaction with the speed of service from the mods, as you rightly point out it was you that screwed up by posting a thread on a topic that already existed. if you are so worried about it, why not PM a mod or 2 and ask politely that they sort it out. we are happy to clean up after other people if it will keep the whole thing running more smoothly (i.e. improve the quality of the forums).

we've got the buttons and we (sort of) know how to use them. Wink

btw, the "merge" button is relatively new, we only got it a few weeks ago.
before that it was quite laborious to get rid of double-ups, but now it is a breeze. Laughing
