I am detecting an influx of newbie spoor. Quick clean the filter and batten down the hatches. Something is going on Mr. Jones and I am not sure I like it.

I don't know about the convention center analogy.
It's more like being in DC on a 3 day weekend and having several kazillion tourists wearing "FBI" hats and 100 extra pounds clog up the Metro and the streets.
