Consumers in Ha Noi expressed surprise at the sudden increase in petrol prices yesterday, following a recent announcement that prices would not be raised in the near future.

Petrol prices rose on Thursday in response to mounting pressure on the domestic market from global prices, in spite of the recent statement by the Board of Market Regulation not to raise prices.
