Alte Fide currently possesses all necessary permits and licenses with land owners, local and federal government bodies to explore for, develop, construct and operate geothermal power stations in designated parts of the Hagenbach area. The key license was granted October 1, 2005. Alte Fide estimates it will cost 4 million Euros to locate and delineate a geothermal water source that produces at least 80 liters/second at 150 degrees C (approx. 21 gallons/second at 302 degrees F). The first well is expected to be spudded by November 2006.
