LONDON, Nov 30 (Reuters) - A fire at Swiss company Petroplus' Coryton refinery in southeast England in October is continuing to have significant impact on production at the plant, the Health and Safety Executive said on Friday.

The unit damaged by the fire at the 220,000 barrel a day plant remains closed and an investigation into the causes of the incident on October 31 is continuing, the HSE told Reuters.

"The investigation is still ongoing and looking at some of the root causes (of the fire)," John Stevenson, an official at the safety watchdog, said.

"(The fire) continues to have significant impact on processing at the refinery."
