Agreement to convert natural gas into Helium for atomic energy

The Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) in association with the Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics of Kolkata has recently embarked on an ambitious project for producing Helium from natural gas to meet the increasing demands of the Indian Space and Atomic Energy Commission.

ONGC Chairman and Managing Director Subir Raha said here last night that it would open a new window of opportunity for the progress of the country's scientific ventures, adding a formal agreement had been signed with the SINP and the Department of Science and technology by ONGC recently.
