Two Very Recent Choice Examples Of Peak Oil Denialism

I can't decide which piece is more absurd and grossly misinformed:

A lenghty piece of baloney in Asia Times.

"Despite Reality, Belief In Peak Oil Persists"

Were some passengers arguing about the inability of iceburgs to sink ships as the Titanic went down? It wouldn't surprise me.

Ismael Hossein-zadeh is the author of the Asian Times piece.

He's a Kurd.

If you know a man's motivation, his behaviors become easy to understand.

As a Kurd, he wants the U.S. in Iraq because he wants a Kurdish homeland established.

He therefore bends reason to suit his goal.

It's no different than Israeli-supporting Jews calling for the bombing of Iran and supporting the never-ending war in Iraq. It's about protecting the homeland, and so reason gets put on the shelf in favor of self-preservation.
Massive Human Dieoff must occur as a result of Peak Oil. Many more than half will die. It will occur everywhere, including where you live. If you fail to recognize this, then your odds of living move toward the "going to die" group.

Most of these people are the "crack-pots" now. It's funny how quickly things can reverse course... It reminds me of F William Enhgdahl who is an "ex-Peaker" and now believes the abiotic oil theory...... Denial, Fear, Anger, Bargaining, Acceptance.

It's probably important to note that the author of the Bloomberg piece, after prdicting that there would be a correction inside of 6 months, predicts that we are in a commodity bull run for 20 years..... the headline is misleading.
