Man. I always think back and wonder what it'd be like to have invested an ounce or two in rhodium or even silver just a few years ago. I'd not have to worry much about financial issues.

I don't suppose there's a chance that any of my coins are xx% (non-0's) rhodium, huh? :(

Ok, I'll ask the question that everyone's thinking:

What in the wide, wide world of sports is rhodium?

I would not invest in Rhodium because they supported Apartheid before Robert Mugabe came to power.

It was a late night and I am still mourning Russia's unceremonious exit from the UEFA Euro2008 cup against Spain (0:3). I am glad it is Friday. Germany against Spain on Sunday. Have a great weekend! ; - ))

Rhodium, among other uses, is used in some catalytic converters and is used as a coating (or electroplate) on white gold and platinum jewelry.

It is shinier than platinum or white gold, looking a bit like polished chrome and reflecting 80-85% of light instead of 60-65% with platinum, which looks greyer next to Rh.

Rh is also tougher than gold or platinum. I believe it alternates with rhenium for most expensive metal.

Yeah, $440 per ounce 5 years ago, $10,000 now. And was even cheaper long ago.

Hmm, now I'm wondering how much Rh my wifes ring has... ;)
