As a result of the July 2 hearing, there is a 21 day extension (till July 23rd, 2008) on comments that can be submitted to the Advisory Agency of the Planning Commission. They will render a decision in 5-6 weeks.

Please consider what YOU can commit to doing to help this effort RIGHT NOW.

I don't know dude, fighting for space to plant carrots in a doomed city doesn't strike me a cause worth "throwing myself into the gears of the machine", as the linked article puts it.

The whole concept of "urban gardening", in my opinion, is just another distraction from the core problem.

The core problem is too many people.

Gardening in urban space does not, in my opinion, seem like a good use of space.
Massive Human Dieoff <b>must</b> occur as a result of Peak Oil. Many more than half will die. It will occur everywhere, including where <b>you</b> live. If you fail to recognize this, then your odds of living move toward the "going to die" group.
