MD's historical bump-a-thon

Unread postby MD » Sun 28 Sep 2008, 05:08:59

Today I decided to revisit my PO past and bump up a number of threads.

You all know I stay mostly on the sidelines these days, and although I don't often post, I'm watching closely.

I thought today would be a good day for a little "MD bump-a-thon".

Everything is on schedule!
Stop filling dumpsters, as much as you possibly can, and everything will get better.

Just think it through.
It's not hard to do.

I spend a lot of time in the Archives. It amazes me how far-sighted and accurate so many of the posts are as they relate to what is happening these days.

After burying my first "root cellar" five years ago...I lost contact with a lot of friends...and today I do not speak with most of my family.

My accuracy has cost me more than I would have previously predicted...

On that level I was way wrong.

People don't want to hear there are too many people on the planet and 90% will die in under 10 years.

Came to the board a bit late for your early prognostications, kind of glad though I got here when I did and not much earlier.

Just trying to contribute some of the stuff I thought about for years in solitude while driving my rig and teaching and chatting with friends on the net. Hope its helpful to some.

Isn't it amazing? I particularly enjoy reading through DantesPeak's record. He could never get a job as a talking head - too damn accurate.
Lord, here comes the flood
We'll say goodbye to flesh and blood
If again the seas are silent in any still alive
It'll be those who gave their island to survive...

That's for sure!

Agreed on DantesPeak's accuracy. Rocc has been pretty good too.

Sure have changed my view on a lot of things these past few years. It's been quite an adventure.

And like rocc it hasn't done much to enhance my popularity with those I used to hang with. Price of progress, I guess.

Iran IS a bit of a problem child. Perhaps we should consider that topic the proverbial 'exception to the rule?' :)
