If Palin doesn't spin her head around and vomit pea soup, she'll win.

the Lamestream media already beleive Biden won and seems how they have been so right on Peak Oil, Nuclear Fission as a power source and numerous other issues I voted Palin wins, hands down.

So true, the expectations for her have been lowered so far down and that's what it is all about. Look at Bush.

It's a good thing the debate moderator is not biased. Palin will need all the help she can get!

Gwen Ifill's office has leaked a few questions she will be asking the candidates tonight................

Q to Biden: "Right Hand of The Leader, is it true that The One's Divine Post-Racial Light has healed your wounds and taken away all sadness?"

Q to Palin: "Tell us how your racist Christian "god" commands you to murder helpless creatures for pleasure, and how that relates to your hatred for all life on this planet."

It's not like they negotiated and agreed on the moderators, or anything.

They probably asked Palin who she wanted as moderator and all she could come up with was "Lot's of people. You know Alaska's not a separate country or something."

I'm guessing Biden will have more factual value, and Palin will supply more entertainment value.
Gosh!! Do you think she will speak in tongues for us?

I think Palin did extremely well. I think the defining characteristic of her during the debate was likability, must have played extremely well with her base and right leaning independents. Her arguments were coherent, while Joe Biden sometimes came a bit stuffy more often than not, negative.

Yeah, boy. I'd have to say that anyone who read that as likability is an exceptionally poor judge of character. She struck me as nervous, off center, disingenuous, and sickly sweet. Whenever a patient walks in my office and acts like that, I know the next thing is going to be trying to hit me up for a huge script for pain pills or something. Biden was a far better actor. He seemed calm, in control, and warm without being overly forward. He's the kind of guy that could reel you into a conversation, and you wouldn't notice till half an hour later that he stole your wallet.

I was impressed that Palin actually answered all the questions. Not even one "I'll have to look into it and get back to you." I think that's definitely score one for her. She clearly had practiced saying Akmadinajad and she nailed it perfectly, but christ people. If you're possibly going to be president, you really should know that nuclear is pronounced new-clear not new-cue-lar. I'm taking off a point for diction.

All in all....I'd say it was clearly a win for Cthulhu.

Her voice was quavering. You could tell she was scared sh*tless and was reading memorized phrases that she's probably been cramming day and night. I mean, how many times can she say "maverick" McCain? She was like a broken record.

She didn't always answer the question that was asked though...

She did well but she was a little creepy at times. Mostly for me having seen her more extemporaneous personality with Couric. It was a little like Kara from the Spock's Brain episode putting on "the teacher"...

Brain and brain, what is brain ?

She's unlikely to do any more interviews, I think. Biden should go on many shows now.

Its mainly because many of us have spent the better part of the week disregarding her as an airheaded bimbo, that her making coherent arguments and at the least holding her ground in this debate is a victory of sorts.

Sure it was pretty obvious that her answers were memorized and her actual depth of knowledge was pretty thin, nevertheless I am sure that while we might dismiss her as a fake, the right wing base and even some independents are going to love her; she does know how to connect to them.
