His time? For the most part all he does is post links to stuff other people write. A lot of links... A broken clock is still right twice a day, and in terms of predictive power shotgunning stuff is definitely the way to go if a poster wants to maximize what they can predict, but it doesn't mean they were right per say.

A "Bank Holiday" will DESTROY the Just-in-Time Delivery system ... I've loosely figured that a 1 week "Bank Holiday" could result in a "System" that cannot be restarted.

Cash on hand won't work forever ... but it will work for a substantial number of weeks, perhaps a few months (people are just familiar with it and will take it).

If you don't have a 3, 6, 9 month stock of non-perishable food ... get it. If you still need to get heating oil or propane for the winter ... get it. YOU CANNOT DELAY ANY LONGER.

I've seen nobody on this forum, myself included, whos been right noticably more then they've been wrong to the point I trust everything they say.

Those who do fall for such shyte obviouly have a VERY short memory or they would remember the crash in May, the WaMu failure (Which i made a bundle on by the way), the crash in August, the total collapse in September, the run to bunker, stockpile food blah blah ad nasuem since about January.

And still things keep going on.....Maybe the collapse will be tomorrow no? if not, well the next day....or the next.....Lets just live in perpetual fear! Yes!

perhaps you should make mental notes on who often people are right versus wrong, and who's trying to portray themselves as some oracle of truth......

I'm going with the crash prediction at this time. If I'm wrong, it cost me nothing to clean out the checking account and buy food and fuel ahead. If I'm right, then it is invaluable.

Whatever anyone's opinion of Denninger, his analysis has been correct often enough that when he says something, I listen. Same with Roubini, Schiff, Mish, and Mike Whitney. Some details of their collective wisdom may vary, but the direction doesn't, and that direction is down. Throw stones at the messengers if you must, but I see no point in that. Prognosticating is an inexact science at best. Since I don't know much of anything about finance, I try to choose my sources as carefully as my limited knowledge will allow, then take the conservative choices. It's been working well for me so far.

At least I have a good start on things, and I have a few visions of what could happen from here.

After reading a few posts this morning, I went back to our local warehouse club & got rice, beans, and diapers. (which my husband said to wait on when we were there a few days ago)

Feeling pretty good about my short term cash and food situation now. Have to fill my new water containers.

So although there are a lot of posts which are titled with ALL CAPS and followed by !!!! , it is still great to know what is going on and get different points of view from people who have been following this for longer than I have.

Here's a video where they say that the ban on short selling comes off tomorrow, and that the value of bank stocks drops to zero. I think he may be right. What are banks doing? Surely the value of many of their investments has tanked. I'm sure that all banks are on the ropes right now. How can they lend money at all any more?

Every federal, state, county, and municipal service I can think of is still fully functioning.

Some banks have folded, and we're all a bit more impoverished than we were a few weeks ago, but the monetary system is working like crazy. Hey, I just bought something a couple of hours ago. I didn't have to kill anybody for it. Nobody's mugged me for my shoes yet. Nobody's lurking around our neighborhood, casing the area.

Not a zombie in sight so far.

People around here seem to be behaving like always. I'm looking for signs of distress, and seeing none. I think I'm the most subdued person I know. Everybody else seems fine.

So what, exactly, "were" you right about? If you were right, shouldn't we all be in running gun battles by now?
