EUROPEAN MARKETS: PARTY IS OVER, DOWN AT OPENING
(AGI) - Rome, Oct 15 - The main European stock exchanges open down in the wake of Wall Street's negative closing, as well as Asian markets. The euphoria following the approval by European governments of a plan to sustain the banking sector seems to have vanished, and investors are focusing on fears on a global recession. In London the FTSE100 loses 0,19pct to 4.385 points, the CAC 40 of Paris is down 0,55pct to 3.608 points. In Frankfurt the DAX falls 0,23pct to 5.187 points. Zurich loses 0,78pct to 6.208,72 points. Piazza Affari is down 0,87pct to 17.562 points.
