Ugh, I wish people would stop misusing the term "collapse" when refering to a parlimentary system, it's woefully inaccurate. The Latvian government didn't "collapse", the ruling party (or in this case, coalition) was defeated.

Switzerland, Britain, Ukraine, Hungary and Ireland are all in big trouble. Along with Italy.

The International Herald Tribune, headquartered in Paris and read mostly by non-Americans, understands what the word "collapse" means with regards to Parliamentary governments. Anyone who lives under such a government understands the concept of a government "collapse".

Americans do not understand it. They see the word "collapse" and assume anarchy.
