1776 AND TODAY: IT IS TIME TO REFRESH THE TREE OF LIBERTY
I have just finished watching two of my favorite motion pictures, “The Patriot” with Mel Gibson and “Red Dawn.” Although produced in liberal Hollywood, they did capture—in our imaginations—at least, the view that some Americans, at the time when their country and countrymen needed them the most, responded courageously to tyranny and evil with personal determination and great sacrifice.

Collectively, we are brutally aware of the death of our once great Republic over the past few decades, slowly at first, and then with a swiftness that takes your breath away. We have seen a vital, productive, and unique culture raped, pillaged, and brutalized by the most traitorous group of government and business officials ever assembled. These blathering idiots have taken the nation from riches, glory, and moral leadership, to the depths of despair, poverty and lawlessness. Our nation has been used to kill and maim on a scale that deserves no justification or excuse. We continue to support evil regimes that keep the Mideast in turmoil and in suffering that knows no end. After generations of resisting communism, we have allowed a socialist foreign national to become president. We have worshipped this false god in the White House and allowed him and his collaborators to steal our destiny with worthless trillions issued by organized crime banking families at the private Federal Reserve.

As a result of Washington’s declaration of economic, political, cultural, and psychological war on the citizens of this nation, we all have to contemplate the words of our original Declaration of Independence, and what may have to be considered as our collective response to this outrageous and wholly unacceptable chain of events in our beloved land.

'The Patriot' watchable but hardly great.

'Red Dawn' you must be having a giraffe.

This must be a wind-up! Unique culture :)

Socialist (ha fucking ha) foreign national (yeah).

Worshipped this false god - are you joking the guy's only just moved in.

You are taking the piss!

The Tree Of Liberty is refreshed by jerking off to Patrick Swayze?

The tree of liberty would be refreshed if we voted for a viable third party. The two that are in control are nothing more than two frat houses playing pranks on each other and we the people are the butt of the joke.

Anyone thinking armed rebellion is a freaking idiot that is going to wind up dead and burned out.

but who's the third party .

Ron Paul :)

Hope you don't mean him.

What's it with you americans aren't there any decent socialist revolutionary parties over there.

You get stiffed by the right wing and still trumpet the free- market ideology. Wake up and smell the coffee. The working man has been stiffed by the capitalist system yet again just like it always has done.

You still buying the American Dream?

While that was a small concern, I was more concerned about the Bren Gun I have sitting on top of my book case. These were the local guys and they have a bit of the Key Stone air about them. SWAT loves to get all dressed up and they may not take the time to find out that I have a class III. Miscalculations in the middle of the night could get me killed.

They were looking for a local thug and the house keeper let them in.

It will take more than a simply depression to wake up americans. And even then, what are you going to do? Vote? When has that ever changed things? It took a bunch of angry malcontents to change history and a few self-sacrificing intellectuals to birth a nation.

Who are you going to fight? How do you stand up to the best trained armored forces the world has ever seen? Are you going to rally your neighbors, your city, your state, your region? To do what?

"Red Dawn?" You've got to be kidding? A brainless, stupid, nonsensical piece of fantasy-crap for a bunch of role-playing Rambo types with brains the size of their shriveled dick.

But the truth is, I don't have any better ideas about how to restore our once great country, except, to suggest the stories we were told as kids was all a bunch of crap. Great country my ass!!! We were simply far more ruthless and far greedier than any other bunch of humans the world has ever seen. Were weren't just satisfied with enough, we wanted it all and were willing to do anything to get it all.

Now, the re balancing has begun, God help us all.

Not "all" exactly, just five times more than our fair share.

Are we citizens of the US prepared to "re-balance" to 1/5 of what we're used to having? I don't think so.

Probably not (I am UK though), but our family have cut consumption massively over the last year. We don't actually need to, but we've made a concious effort because of environmental issues.

eg previous year we probably spent £25.00 per week on wine.

Now spend £10 per week, but brewing our own means we have a big surplus that we are sharing with friends and family and building up a nice little wine 'cellar'.

For the Brits I am truely sorry for the way the current administration has acted. Winston was the best statesman in the 20th century.

I liked Red Dawn as a kid and would have liked The Patriot if it had come out when I was a kid.

Care to tell us your age, Mint?
The legitimate object of government, is to do for a community of people, whatever they need to have done, but can not do, at all, or can not, so well do, for themselves -- in their separate, and individual capacities.

Ahhh, the revolutionary blog!

Greg Evensen obviously speaks from his heart but unfortunately he is drawing his motivation from a product produced by the very people he seeks to overthrow, success is highly unlikely. He was probably a big fan of Mel Gibsons 'The Passion of the Christ', possibly the most violent film ever produced and marketed for people just like Greg.

Perpruating a myth that one lone American hero stands up in the face of tyranny to save the world is a theme that is forever perpetuated through Hollywood. Obama is a prime example of this myth making in action and on it goes...

It is completely irrelevent whether Obama is aware of the plan or just a useful idiot since even a POTUS can only rearrange the deck chairs at this point so to speak.

I had an epiphany several years ago. Resistance is completely futile at this point to what is known as the One World Goverment or New World Order. Once you realize the degree of manipulation at all levels of society, even of the elites...

The point is the system must completely fail before it can be rebuilt and trying to take on the system at the peak of its power will open you up to some punishing and severe manipulation. People like Greg are being manipulated, just like the Rockefellers started the feminist movement to break apart the family unit and add another source of taxation and the Aluminum industry created the environmental movement and started adding their waste product, flouride, to your water supply.

That being said I would encourage everyone to absorb as much information as possible regarding how the world really works for it makes predicting the future that much easier, and thus planning your life to work within the system that much easier.

Instead of jumping onboard to a manufactured revolution that will only serve to enslave you more I reccommend you take care of your own health and happiness first!

Hints:
Don't cook at high temperatures with Teflon
Don't drink from contaminated water supplies
Don't stuff your face with useless carbohydrates
Exercise more, revolution on the internet less...

...you get the idea, I took the time to post this because I was just like you a few years ago, I feel your pain and want to help
