Why the cost oil to cost gas so high?

Unread postby DrBang » Thu 25 Jun 2009, 22:35:53

Does anyone put forward a report or hold any good arguments for why the Gas to Oil ratio is so high? Consumer prices in the UK are laughably high despite the energy crisis of 11 months ago however Natural Gas has been ignored in Oil's recent "rally" (correction depending on where you stand).

Australia has lots of gas too. I read bits of this on this site years ago but can't find it. Could someone give me some pointers?

Kind regards

I'm not entirely sure myself, perhaps a stronger dollar last year had more of an influence than the ratios would suggest.

The petrol price may be scary if oil goes 100$ + again.
