I think Prechter has a very astute understanding of social trends, and is mostly right in this article.
However I strongly disagree with point #9, and although not stated, I think the possibility of deflation from here out in regards to the US CPI (year over year) is about zero. Perhaps more of an immeadiate problem than costs for basic items going up is that state and local governments are raising taxes and cutting services - something which will not show up in the CPI.
It's already over, now it's just a matter of adjusting.
