Obaminable
Ilargi:
http://theautomaticearth.blogspot.com/2009/07/july-9-2009-obaminable.html

This cannot and will not end well.

I picked a number of quotes from today's news articles to try and show you what IS really happening. Focusing on the two main components of the economy that matters to you, not the Wall Street one, it is glaringly obvious that both are getting bad rapidly, and no answer or solution is to be expected from Obama and his administration. They're not even trying. they have a different agenda than their voters do. Judging by the latest poll numbers, those voters are slowly catching up to what's shaking, But that can't undo the damage done in the first 6 months.

So whats the agenda of HopeNchange? Socialism, Communism...........are just destroy the USA?????

As with all politicians, it's the maintenance of their own power by maintaining the status quo. In this case, the temporary status quo is being maintained by reflating the finance bubble of private money with a new bubble of private money. How long the tricky balancing act of pumping in one form of non-existent money to supplant another is the question.

So far, it's "worked," in the same sense that steroids "work" by reducing inflammation. Unfortunately, you need inflammation and it's attendant discomfort, to heal. The economy does too, but we've been denied that admittedly painful experience so far.

I think our dear president has pized his sunshine away. Per Rassmensen polls the independents are abandoning him in droves. He and the Dems OWN this now. If they had stepped back from their arrogance and found a way to include Republicans in the stim package they would have cover, but no. If you loved O, you still love him, if you thought he was the best of two choices, you question it now, if you thought he was an articulate but inexperienced stuffed shirt, you are affirmed.

You sort of invalidated yourself right there. Rasmussen is an evangelical christian who, in effect, serves as the propaganda organ of conservative republicans.

Actually I'm not sure there *is* a political polling organization that can be trusted at this point. Most were either created to promote a political agenda or have been bought since by one side or the other.

Rasmussen was determined to be the most accurate polling organization in the 2008 election by Fordham University.

Let's just be honest Goldman Sachs/Pimco already bought the election. Regardless of who won they were already covered by the time November rolled around. It's pretty obvious that Obama's people are just as intimately involved as Wall Street as Bush's people were. Summers was doing literally doing consulting work for Wall Street before becoming Presidential economic advisor, Rahm Immanuel got a nice high paying job in investment banking after the end of the Clinton administration. Most of the SEC's enforcement lawyers ending up working for Wall Street after "serving" the public, or perhaps the public is being "served".

This charade that voting for Republican or Democrat will actually make a difference is akin arguing whether a Geo Metro or a Suzuki Cultus is a better car. In the end perhaps the nameplates and service are different but it's really the same thing.

Same as it ever was, socialism for the rich, capitalism for the middle class and the poor. I sure would like some of that socialism, I am so sick and tired of taking care of the rich.

Polls don't mean squat; especially not less than a year into a term. Summer 2010, we can talk about polls.

You seriously underestimate the power of polls!

Polls are designed to measure the effect of their respective programming. For example, when a "climate change" poll reports that %80 of a population agree "human activity is a significant cause of climate change", the politicans and bankers can proceed to implement a new related tax without repercussions. If the poll reports %45 then it would indicate the need for more "climate change" programming.

Polls are serve the exact opposite purpose of what most people think, they manufacture a consensus reality to be served up by the mainstream media.

"See, in my line of work you got to keep repeating things over and over and over again for the truth to sink in...to kind of catapult the propaganda." George W Bush, May 24, 2005

If you don't like it here, go create your own country and then you can tax the rich as much as you want.
