Harvesting Human Fat For Energy

Unread postby vaseline2008 » Sun 09 Aug 2009, 22:00:34

With all the overweight people in the US, why not just harvest it via liposuction? The Engergy Density of Human Fat is 38 MJ/Kg. It beats Ethanol (30), Butanol (36.6), and Coal (anthrocite: 32.5)...any thoughts?

Stick that suction tube in ole Fat Al. Even at max suck, it'd take a week to get Gore down to rotund. A hired illegal could drive my truck for a month on 1/10 gorelon.

Select Teddy "uh, welllll, a ye-asss, uh" Kennedy. for the perfect mix of fat and alcohol that'll give just the needed horsepower boost fer yore power wagon. Watch those nasty bridges, though, when yer powerin' through a turn!

Who's next? Bwarney Frwank? He could provide fat AND suction.

Now, where's the EROEI in that?

Given that [Dale Allen Pfeiffer et al] it takes 10 calories of energy to make 1 calorie of food.

We talked about this a few weeks ago when the futuristic robot tank that fueled itself with dead bodies came up.

Well, we'll need a name for this new fuel...

it'll be a "green" fuel, so the name should reflect that...

and this fuel is in fact "people"...

any ideas? :P

It's been done: lipodiesel
"We were standing on the edges
Of a thousand burning bridges
Sifting through the ashes every day
What we thought would never end
Now is nothing more than a memory
The way things were before
I lost my way" - OCMS

I like the idea of “fat fuel” as it is a sort of biofuel. It starts out as wheat and cows, then to MacDonald’s then to humans, then to fuel. Supersize me fuel for all! :-D
