Found this article about US Oil, it has an interesting infographic showing where the foreign oil comes from. Some of the countries suprised me, looks like I have a lot to learn about the industry!

No surprise here but I know it is surprising to the "average" American.

9/10 Americans that I ask think Saudi is the #1 supplier of oil to their country.
Most are very surprised to hear it is actually Canada.

We are so reliant on foreign (imported) oil that we will never be able to approach energy independence. Not as long as the current paradigm of consumption exists.

Dont ever accept that statement from anyone. They either are lying to you outright or they have zero conception of what US consumption and production look like.
