Nova: Car of the Future (Click and Clack host)

I didn't see that this had its own thread. I just watched it online. This is a NOVA episode from 2008. Click and Clack from NPR's Car Talk host the episode. They explore car technology, more or less admit Peak Oil and our search for more energy efficient (or oil-free) transportation.

Watch online:

Or download the whole program in AVI format with a RapidShare account:

Are you asking or predicting?
On 9/29/08, cube wrote: "The Dow will drop to 4,000 within 2 years". The current tally is 239 bold predictions, 9 right, 96 wrong, 134 open. If you've heard here, it's probably wrong.

Not if these Canadian undergrads have any input

http://www.physorg.com/news70040977.html

"The UBC design, which required the driver to lie down while navigating it, achieved 3,145 miles per US gallon (0.074 litres/100 km) -- equivalent of Vancouver to Halifax on a gallon (3.79 litres) of gas -- costing less than $5 at the pump."

It shows me just how much waste is inherent and how little other automotive companies are really trying.

(This is litres per 100 km., so smaller numbers are better)
