The Jim Shepherd Thread

Have an old friend who is locked on to Jim Shepherd as a market guru.
Went to his site (not a member and not contemplating doing so) and
saw that he claims to have been correct on the market since 1982.

Search engine results end up with scant data.

My friend has gone from the eternal optimist to waiting for the stroke
of financial doom to hit in 1Q of 2010.

Hear of him?

I am curious if Peakoil.com can perform the sieve and yield hints as
to if this is an oracle or a barnacle.

Never heard of him either and didn't find much online. I am not an investor so its not shocking that I do not know his name, but if he were really that good you would think his predictions would be talked about a lot more.
Alfred Tennyson wrote:We are not now that strength which in old days
Moved earth and heaven, that which we are, we are;
One equal temper of heroic hearts,
Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.
