It's down there. All we need to do is drill, baby, drill!

General discussions of the systemic, societal and civilisational effects of depletion.

It's down there. All we need to do is drill, baby, drill!

Spoken by Palin just a couple of days ago:

http://rawstory.com/rs/2010/0503/palin- ... oil-spill/

"We need to trust the oil business. They know where the safe oil is and with no restrictions they will find it." Why do they need to find it if they know where it is?

I knew from the get go that she was a brainless puppet. Sad really how badly mistaken she could be. Especially coming from a fairly oil rich state. You would think she would bother to learn more about the industry and how it works.

I really hope we dont see her as a candidate in 2012, but I fear It is what will come.

Wonderful lady I am sure. Very photogenic. Given the choice of touring the country in a losing election with another dried up old senator I would have chosen her as my running mate as well. Having said that, most of us in the middle see her as a light weight. If the Tea Party has any hope of picking viable candidate, they need to focus on the Pauls. I am sure she is great fun to have at the party, but she is not a leader. If she is picked, the Tea Party will devolve into a photo op.

Bad luck for Obama that he announced his own support for more offshore drilling a month ago.

Sad, really, how mistaken he was and how terrible his timing was.
