The EU Commission is proposing to reclassify palm oil plantations as “forest” in order that biodiesel from palm oil plantations can still meet EU biofuels sustainability criteria under the Renewable Energy Directive.

We need to send a clear signal to the European Commission that this kind of action is unacceptable. Please take the time to sign the current petition against the EU Commission classifying palm oil plantations as "forests" and forcing unsustainable biodiesel from palm oil on EU countries.

It will only take a few minutes of your time. A report on the European biofuel targets along with the petition will be handed to the President of the European Commission in June.
