Pipe Dreams - Yanomami

Found this film about a Brit who goes back to the Amazon jungle to fulfill on the promise he made to a Yanomami Indien during a previous trip to show him the "civilized" world. Great Thanksgiving movie.
It's f awesome. This isolated tribe puts all of us westerners to shame.
And there is something to learn for all of us carbon creatures.
There is five 10 mn parts, here is #1...

We were all tribal at some point in the past.

We all will be children of the capitalist at some not too distant point in the future.

These sorts of example of sentimentality miss the point that, barring these examples of Ludditism, which periodically rears its head in hollow getsures of defiance against the juggernaut of capital, nothing can stop the juggernaut apart from the compulsion of time.

All fall before capital as it compels all to conform to the logic of its dictates, resource and surplus.

No he comes from a place where everyone bred in with the natives and turned them into capitalists. So he speaks from experience and an honest world view,if a possibly limited view of the scope of capitalism.

Such tribes represent an enormous marketing opportunity, as they are they are worth far more than as factory fodder.

Irrespective of who interbreeds with whom, who is a native and who is not and all the rest, everyone is up for sale in capitalism and all will be subject to the equal opportunity of natural compulsion when capitalism finally hits the buffers. In the meantime, we can all dream about happy natives and nice tribal fellows whilst we sup on our cups of lattte and pretend at being relevant players in a globe which turns on a daily market which trades at least US$ 4 trillion forex, most of that, speculative, (not counting all the other speculative assets like stocks and bonds).

This tribal green permaculture waffle is tiresome bull.

Negativity aside I watched it with my woman & thought it was decent. Wonder what became of that tribe now.
