Thank goodness.

I was getting worried that peak oil might cause some problems for the economy. :)

There is not only the Volt----the Nissan Leaf has also been sellling cars into the US market.

The sales figures are out for December----Nissan sold 19 Leafs, and Chevy sold 326 Volts.

Sweet! Just another 300,000,000 --three hundred million, ya'll-- to replace the entire American fleet.

Well, considering just how much you've been "plugging" it in recent posts, I'm not surprised. Bet it only shows up on a page that you've posted about the volt on!

Google works like that, finds key words in the text and places (hopefully) relevent Ads in the boxes.

Hardley doesn't make an ICE motorcycle worth buying, what makes you think an electric one will be worth buying?

CHEVY CRUSHES NISSAN IN THE EV RACE TO THE FUTURE!!!

More dramatic headlines, less concentration on the absolute volumes involved. I could have been a newspaper writer person! :)

It'll never happen. Too many people will still want their Escalades and Expeditions, and plentiful liquid fuels will allow them to drive them if they want them.

Some of us have already solved this problem, but if I'm in the market to replace my "mostly" electric, the Volt is the way I'm going. Either that, or I'm getting an F350 and car trailer and Leaf or Focus. Then I'll use the F350 to tow the car to some location, zoom around randomly saving the planet a mile at a time, and then tow it to somewhere else, and repeat. Maybe I'll even carry a big generator around to charge it up on the fly?

Yeah, really.

What's the difference between a Harley-Davidson motorcycle and a Hoover vacuum cleaner?

Ans.- The location of the dirt bag.

The Piaggio plug-in hybrid is out already....if you like three-wheeled Italian scooters.

Oh, I know, when it hits $100.

Whats wrong with that? Spouting one's religious beliefs in motorcycle forums is probably more than a little OT, isn't it?

It's been there before. It will be there again. I recommend buying your own personal peak oil solution if it bothers you that much. I prepped for $6/gal gasoline when it was $2/gal, nothing like being ahead of the curve. I'm pretty sure I can even withstand $10/gal, the problem will be roadtrips, they get awful expensive at the higher prices.

I used to hang around with those dicks, no wonder why Harley riders hate you fookers. I'm with the Harley riders. I don't wave @ crotch rocket riders. :)

This would be a real improvement if used massively, cheap, don´t use fuel and keeps you fit.
