This is the beginning of global revolution against the now naked and exposed global EMPIRE which controls our former country by previously hiding itself behind the facade of its fully 'captured' TWO-Party "Vichy" sham of faux-democratic government (and media).
That "Vichy" facade of the Empire centered in the US (but also including global Empire elements in such former countries as the UK, Israel, etc.) is now being exposed and understood as the causal cancer in our world --- and of having been the seminal cause of all 'symptom problems' abroad and at home, such as; imperialist oil wars, torture, global warming and environmental destruction, domestic economic oppression, corporate 'looting', increasing police-state tyranny, and every other divided protest issue down to killing whales.
But an increasing number of people, particularly those more directly tyrannized by this global Empire --- those outside the US, who are far more aware, informed, and motivated because of their proximity to the spear of the Empire directly in their faces, and those outside the US who are not as distracted and divided by the superior corporate/fascist propaganda of Empire here in the heart of the global Empire --- are increasingly aware that violent global Empire is the core cause of all these diverse and distractive 'symptom problems' and are achieving more "solidarity" as a global "Multitude" (Hardt) to revolt "Against Empire" (Parenti) and cut through the sophisticated PR of "Inverted Totalitarianism" (Wolin) --- and this progress is starting to allow the people of the US Empire center itself to join this global revolution for democracy and liberty over violent empire, particularly in the poorer sectors of the US Empire's facade of faux-democracy where economic oppression is greatest and where proto-fascist tyranny is greatest like; Wisconsin, Ohio, Michigan, New Jersey, and soon more states from Maine to California!
Yes, the working-class people of the US, despite their higher levels
of corporatist Empire propaganda, are also starting to clearly see that
this is a global Empire show-down --- just as Egyptians, Tunisians,
Yemenis, and Libyans have always known, because they were not subject to
such sophisticated "Vichy" political and social propaganda and
entertainment distraction away from the real problem of EMPIRE.
One of Empire's last techniques to stay alive and "in
control" is to use money to buy cooperation, silence, even
support from a sector of the working-class --- so as to continue
Empire's oppression of the vast majority of the working-class.
The penultimate of this defensive technique of Empires is to pay
(or fool) some of the working-class to suppress, re-oppress, and even
kill the larger part of the working-class who are rising up "Against
Empire" (Parenti). The ultimate truth of this trick of
ruling-elite Empire was "let out of the bag" sort to speak
by Jay Gould in the late 19th century in the US (then evolving
Empire) when he infamously said, "I can hire half the
working-class to kill the other half".
The fact of the matter that Gould missed is that the
ruling-elite's Empire can only generally do that on a 'limited scale'
if they are willing and able to pay out of their own pocketed profits
from their looting of the vast majority.
The severely limiting problem now for today's ruling-elite global
capitalist corporate/financial/militarist Empire is that they have
been reduced to making profits (really faux-profits) ONLY by dumping
'negative externality costs' on society --- such as industrial
pollution, cancerous cigarette smoke, ethereal 'debt bombs', etc. ---
and thus the EMPIRE is friggin BROKE, and living on federal aid. So
they don't have the money to pervert and mercenize enough troops and
equipment to kill half the working-class of the world...
