If Shell does not get permitted to drill on the North Slope we can hang up the Alaskan Pipeline as well as it's nearing it's predicted minimum flow to make a profit .
Once it becomes unprofitable it has to be torn down and the land returned to pristine condition .
ANWR would have saved it for ten to twenty years and the Shell Find took it even further .
Oh I'm sure our replacement for fossil fuel is right around the corner whatever it may be .

Pretty soon we can add the Natural Gas find in the North East at least some large productive areas.
Should we count those brim full Crude tanks in Cushing Oklahoma because the pipeline carrying Canadian crude that was supposed to end up in Port Arthur Texas is stopped and it doesn't look good for the foreseeable future getting it built.

Me thinks we are our own worst enemy when it comes to that which has provided us the highest standard of living in the world .
