This thread is about sharing any fruit that you know is effective for fighting cancer in general.

I'll go first: Acai berry has been found to be highly effective for combating cancer by universities that have conducted laboratory testing that have shown acai killing cancer cells in humans.


Do you know any fruit that is good against cancer?

My reading is acai kills cancer cells in cell cultures, not necessarily in cancer patients. Blueberries, grapes, etc show some success in cell cultures also. Most fruit reduces the incidence of cancer, eat your fruits and veggies, hope you don't get it post peak oil.

Fruit? No. Vegetables, yes. Broccoli is the big one for preventing colon cancer. Spices like Turmeric and Ginger seem to have cancer preventive ability. Your best bet is to go to pubmed.com and search on "cancer" and diet. There's a lot there, but you'll get a feel for it. Garlic, onions, fish oil, mustards. There seems to be quite a lot and I now try and include them all in my diet.

Any fresh organic fruit would have anti oxidants some more than others
Berries are particularly high.

Soursop is supposed to be a good one for fighting cancer...do your own research.

The most effective thing against cancer and heart disease is anti-inflammatories like one aspirin a day, because both diseases are tied to inflammation.

Preston, this is a respectful disagreement. Aspirin is falling somewhat in the medical literature. Still a great med if you already have certain heart disease, but if you have minimal risk factors, you are at a greater risk of a bleeding stroke than benefiting from the aspirin. Fish oil works on the inflammation superbly.
