Insurance companies don't put plans like this forward if they lose money on it, meaning that the cost of these procedures is rolled into whatever sweet-heart deal the district made with the provider. No doubt that in addition to paying for these procedures, the tax payer is also shipping a healthy profit to the insurer.

What made you think anyone was writing about an insurance company losing money?

Until Buffalo, NY defaults like Jefferson County and Harrisburg. Speaking of which it's almost time for them to hock some more toys.

True. These companies and the politicians that cater to them are acting like swarms of locusts: suck all the life out of an area, and move on to the next.

Jefferson County won't exit bankruptcy with expiration date on job tax, Alabama legislators told
By Barnett Wright / The Birmingham News / February 23, 2012

County officials are seeking legislative help in the form of revenue to replace the county's defunct occupational tax, which generated $66 million in fiscal 2010, and was thrown out last year by the Alabama Supreme Court because of a technical defect in how the state Legislature enacted it.

A Harrisburg scorecard
By Cate Long / Reuters (blogs) / October 14, 2011

The city stopped making payments ages ago on the incinerator bonds and is past due on about $85 million of principal and interest.

They don't need to make any payments on the money they borrowed. They are KOMPETENT AND NOBULL LEADUHRS and beyond the law.
Harrisburg misses deadline for bankruptcy plan
Mark Shade / Reuters / November 15, 2012

The capital of Pennsylvania will let the state or a federal bankruptcy judge determine how it will get out of $318 million in debt after missing the last deadline on Monday to come up with a solution of its own.

THEY WILL FIX EVERYTHING! All they need to due is hire another one-percenter to do the job.
Harrisburg recovery plan keeps bankruptcy option on the table, calls for chief operating officer
ERIC VERONIKIS, The Patriot-News / February 6, 2012

The COO will earn $110,000 annually.

The plan does not specify how much of Harrisburg’s more than $317 million of incinerator debt creditors will be asked to pay down, because there are too many unknown variables.

Just look at the mayor of Harrisburg, doesn't she strike you as somebody who knows how to do the job?

The whole "Queen Carlotta of Harrisburg" trip fell apart for me when I made the discovery that the so-called "incinerator" is really a sophisticated "waste-to-energy" system. They went broke making sensible decisions.

It is really not a sensible decision if you go broke for making it.

And then, the MSM continues to use the term "Tea Party" with obvious disgust. Yeah, shame on the people who earn the money that the crony politicians steal to buy votes from the "something for nothing" crowd for getting mad and wanting less government.

Note: the GOP and their war machine which they ALWAYS want to spend MORE on is NOT the answer...

Since Ron Paul is unelectable (he refuses to pander to voters with empty promises, which just makes me want to vote for him more) -- I see no sense in voting. Douche or Turd -- it's all the same.

We are massively screwed financially, and it's our own fault. It's not peak oil (expensive oil puts more stress on the system though) -- it's greed and stupidity and poor moral character (expecting something for nothing).
Given the track record of the perma-doomer blogs, I wouldn't bet a fast crash doomer's money on their predictions.

It is really not a sensible decision if you go broke for making it.

So, using your logic, if in the middle of making the most reasonable and sane purchase ever your other investments fail and you go broke that purchase was the problem.

Yeah I agree with you to some degree. It is really something like our OWN fault. The main fault that I noticed is that most people might think Buffalo's school district has plenty of cash to offer perks like free plastic surgery, but that is not the case. Louis Petrucci, president of the Buffalo Board of Education, said he is projecting a $42 million deficit in next year's school budget.

Hi, Most people might think Buffalo's school district has plenty of cash to offer perks like free plastic surgery, but that is not the case. Louis Petrucci, president of the Buffalo Board of Education, said he is projecting a $42 million deficit in next year's school budget. Petrucci said if the $5.9 million wasn't being spent on fettabsaugung or liposuction plastic surgeries, he would hire about 240 teachers.

There's something positively psychopathic about these media liberals who continue to slam ordinary hard-working Americans who don't want to pay even more taxes to the welfare leaches. It's as if these liberals won't be satisfied until they've extracted every last drop of blood.
