A few days ago, PO.COM reached the 30,000 member threshold (30,059 at the moment). Congrats to all members who have been around since 2004 & 2005.

Anyway, now you're back how about getting yourself onto the self-defence/gun threads?

.
Four years ..
I love the site , it's a bit rambling , things don't always works
It make me think of an old country pub where anyone can push the door and put their two cents worth
blow hard and the quiet type , smart people , and the not so much
Some come in for a look and move on their way , other are the regulars
they give the place its tone , nobody is perfect and there is no great leader

. Cheers to all !

Doesnt seem to be much that needs my input. Looks a bit slow....

Your nick + avatar has warped me in unspeakable ways.

We were real "clubby" there for a couple of years when lots of people thought this was just a free online role playing game.

That changed at what?
$130-$140/bbl?

.
In the medieval compilation
succubus were the female spirits who would torment chaste monks in their lonely vigil
Incubus were the male equivalent for nuns

those were the penance of the damned souls ,
neither incubus or succubus were necessarily originally of the sex their avatar would take

I have been here more than 5 years. I was posting for a couple of years, and my login expired. I got a new one in 2005. It has become a part of my life. I can't talk peak oil with anyone in my regular life. I tried it, and they resented it so much that a lot of them have not forgiven me since. Better to talk to you people. Thanks for being here.

I don't post very often, but I have enjoyed the site for a long time. Interesting people mostly, with a few nuts. :)
Thanks to all the people who keep it going.

Yeez..... that long 8O ...................... At least Pop's still ahead of me.

Looking back the most striking thing I find, that back then the monthly OPEC statement was about the biggest news event we could find.

And now after 7 years (and several resource wars, financial crisises, terrorist attacks, resource price spikes, collapsing governements, a half molten arctic etc... ), some people are complaining about a lack of stuff to discuss, if there is no impending global crisis for a week or so.

Things have certainly changed.
