This past weekend we went to the Orange County Auto Show here in Southern California. My wife and I are looking to purchase a new car so we decided to browse around a bit. What I wanted to post about the show is that the masses seemed more interested in the smaller, more gas efficient models than the larger "gas guzzlers". Whether the record breaking gas prices here in California has something to do with it or not, I couldn't tell you, but the smaller cars were lined up with people waiting to check them out. Perhaps it is the "down" economy and people don't want to pay a high premium for transportation. I really don't know, I just observe and report.
The Volt and Leaf all had a good amount of interest around them. Definitely I can say that this auto show was all about the gas savers. I could overhear many people discuss MPG as they viewed the different models. Change it seems, is happening, at its own pace.
