I have to wonder if this is just a collection of the documents or if there is commentary in the book that is questionable. Sorry, I can't jump to the conclusion that they are talking about the documents themselves.

In fact, it is a straight reprint of unaltered documents with no commentary. The company Wilder Pubs self-describes as a "publish-on-demand vendor of works in the public domain". The warning appears to be a boilerplate that is applied to all works that are older than a certain cutoff date. It has been found on their copies of The Federalist Papers by Alexander Hamilton and on The Great Heresies by Hilaire Belloc.

Judging by their behavior, they have appointed themselves the PC police.
